In this concert program, we have brought together three completely different, yet equally brilliant contemporary composers. You will experience the monumental scale of Hans Zimmer (Interstellar, Inception, Gladiator, Dune, Pirates of the Caribbean), feel the profound, breathtaking sincerity of Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, Nomadland), and touch the pure magic of Joe Hisaishi and the worlds of Hayao Miyazaki (Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke). And this is just a fraction of the extensive setlist we have prepared. The program will also feature other iconic themes from the world's biggest cinema hits.
How does a blockbuster sound in an acoustic setting? The musicians of the Vivalis Project have written special arrangements for this program. We aren't trying to copy a stadium-sized symphony orchestra. Quite the opposite! We perform these hits with a chamber ensemble. In this interpretation, the grandest themes sound transparent, sincere, and so intimate they give you goosebumps.
Music that guides our emotions. A few notes of a great soundtrack are all it takes for endless space, golden sands, or fairy-tale worlds to instantly appear before your eyes. Film scores have long ceased to be mere background music, evolving into an independent art form that fills entire concert halls.
